Introducing Molly Goodwin, Lab Manager

Isolab Scientific’s Molly Goodwin had been with the business for 14 months before her promotion to Laboratory Manager.

The new role offers Molly a great mix of data analysis, workflow planning and client interaction, as well as management experience.

“I love working with our brilliant team to improve how we report and run things – the variety of samples we get from around the world keep it fresh and interesting,” she explained. “I plan to keep making our reports clearer and more client-friendly, help boost lab efficiency, and support the team however I can.”

Molly has always been curious about how science fits into everyday life and studied Biomedical Science at Chester before starting her first lab role at Element straight out of university. Describing her career to date, she says:

“I worked as an analyst across environmental, pharma, and food testing labs, mainly using GC-MS, GC-FID, and HPLC. I loved the technical side but wanted more variety and people interaction, so I moved into a role that blends lab work with client communication.”

When she’s not working, Molly is passionate about watching live music:

“It’s where all my spare money goes! The Sugarmill in Stoke is where it all started for me. I’ve seen some incredible bands there over the years and still go whenever I can.”
