Introducing Emily Coleman
Emily Coleman joined Isolab Scientific in 2025, working for Lab Manager Molly Goodwin.
Her background is in forensic toxicology, but she decided to make the move to Isolab Scientific for career progression and to gain experience in another analytical principle. Her new role has seen her learn about the use of IRMS and its adaptability – processes and methods change depending on the job as the samples customers send in are all so different.
And that’s one of the things Emily enjoys most about the job – the diversity of every set of samples. Where they’re from, what they are, what preparation and analysis is needed: “Every day is different,” she commented. “I get real job satisfaction from the constant learning that comes with each job.”
Emily first realised she was interested in science at school where her favourite subjects were Biology, Chemistry and Maths and proceeded to take a degree in Forensic Science. She lives in Warrington with her family and two dogs. Outside work, she plays netball for Warrington Town and also enjoys dog walks, books and spending time with friends.
