Handling Samples

With the volume of samples we receive from around the world, our systems processing and handling them are critical for efficient analysis.

Pre-Analysis

As soon as your samples arrive at our lab in Crewe, our technicians visually inspect them for any signs of damage, spills, or unexpected conditions. We also assess the material type to determine if any extra preparation steps are needed before analysis.

Every label is cross-checked against the electronic sample list from our customer to confirm the batch. Every batch is assigned a unique IS-Ref number, and all details are logged into our system for traceability.

Post-Analysis

Once analysis is complete, leftover samples are stored with batch paperwork for six months before appropriate disposal. Customers are welcome to request that the remainder of their samples be returned, they can let us know in their initial quote request, then we’ll pack them securely and send them via tracked delivery.
