Isolab Scientific is a well established lab offering light Stable Isotope Ratio Analysis (SIRA) across a range of application areas including agriculture, archaeology, ecology, environmental science, food authenticity, forensic chemistry, geochemistry and medical research.
With the new lab now well established, retaining our highly experienced team, and with instrumentation upgraded, it became clear that the operation has its own place in the market. The relaunch of the business under the name Isolab Scientific is designed to give the operation its own identity to make it easier to build visibility of our analytical services.
Isolab Scientific is equipped with seven continuous‑flow isotope ratio mass spectrometers interfaced with a suite of elemental analysers and gas‑handling systems. Our laboratory includes: five elemental analysers for the analysis of solid and liquid samples; three gas auto‑samplers for the analysis of gas and equilibrated samples; and a dedicated pyrolysis system for high‑temperature conversion of samples for hydrogen and oxygen isotope analysis. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with three weighing stations for capsule preparation, alongside a full range of distillation lines, freeze driers, ovens, and centrifuges to support comprehensive sample preparation workflows.
In addition, our laboratory is equipped with 4 weighing stations for preparation of solid and liquid samples into capsules and a range of vacuum and distillation lines, freeze driers, ovens, and centrifuges to aid sample preparation.
Recognising that quality and speed are major drivers in the sector, samples sent to our laboratory are typically analysed and reported within 4-6 weeks by our technical staff, who strive to provide analytical services for the light stable isotopes of the utmost quality and ensure that the needs of our clients are met and surpassed. History of Iso Analytical
Isolab Scientific previously traded as Sercon Analytical after the Sercon Group of which our MD Mark O’Connor is a director, acquired the assets and key members of the lab team of well-respected service lab Iso-Analytical. Mark has since spun the business out of the Sercon Group to form an independently operating company, Isolab Scientific Ltd, retaining all key staff and assets as part of the de-merger.
